Dr Amanda Cox

Dr Amanda Cox is an endocrinologist with a broad interest in all aspects of endocrinology. She has a particular focus on diabetes, obstetric endocrinology, thyroid disorders, and weight management whilst also welcoming all adult general endocrinology referrals.

After completing her medical degree at the University of Sydney, Dr Amanda gained experience working in various hospitals across New South Wales and spent time training overseas in Dublin, Ireland. She returned to Melbourne for specialist training, undertaking endocrinology training at Austin Health, Northern Health, Alfred Health, and St Vincent’s Hospital. She has also completed a Master of Medicine in Metabolic Health, enhancing her expertise in the management of diabetes and the metabolic syndrome. 

Dr Amanda is dedicated to providing holistic, patient-centred care, working collaboratively with her patients to develop personalised management plans tailored to their individual needs. She is deeply committed to ongoing education and professional development, ensuring her patients receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatments. She actively contributes to medical research, has published in leading endocrinology journals, and has presented her findings at national conferences.

Outside of medicine, Amanda enjoys unwinding over good food with family and friends, exploring local live music, and can often be found hiking or cycling on weekends.
