Dr Anju Joham is a Consultant Endocrinologist, with subspecialty expertise in women’s health including polycystic ovary syndrome and menopause management. She also has extensive clinical experience in a wide range of hormone disorders including diabetes, metabolic health, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary disorders and osteoporosis.

She has a holistic approach and works in partnership with her patients to provide individualised treatment.

Dr Joham has a public appointment at Monash Health with both the Diabetes and Endocrine Units.

She has also established a statewide multidisciplinary Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Service and is the Clinical Lead of this Service at Monash Health and is a Senior Research Fellow at Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation, Monash University and leads the PCOS epidemiology team, supervising PhD and postdoctoral candidates.

Dr Joham was the Deputy Project Director of the International Evidence-Based Guideline for the Assessment and Management of PCOS published in 2023. She presents regularly at national and international conferences and has published greater than 100 original research articles. She is an Editor for Clinical Endocrinology, one of the leading journals in clinical endocrinology globally.
